Oak Hills Online
Hey, Rabbit Room. It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but wanted to take a moment to highlight a new development in the cybersphere. Earlier this year Andrew Peterson posted about ten of my sermons from an Easter series I was preaching, and I got a few questions asking if we had the rest of that series and other sermons online.
Yup.
We just recently redesigned the church’s site, which you can find at www.oakhillspca.com. I’d love for you to check it out.
A lot of people have worked hard on developing Oak Hills’ web presence over the years and in various iterations– Tobias Becker, John Burke, Russ McGuire, and Jason and Micah Sonderman– and I am thrilled for how their collective work has come to produce a site I hope will be useful for many years to come as a resource where people can hear the Gospel and come to know Christ.

Russ,
Love the site dude! Thanks for posting it. Those sermons were coming rapid fire, so I didn’t get a chance to get to the whole series, but look forward to revisiting it during the next Lenten season.
P.S. Just finished up Lando, so I’m about halfway through the Sackett series. Thanks again for recommended L’Amour it is a summer reading project that is turning into a year ’round one, but well worth the journey.

Thanks Tony. Yeah, we posted ten of the Easter sermons, but there are actually 26 sermons in all in that series. So start listening this week, and by Easter of 2010, you should be all caught up.
The “Life Together” series from earlier this summer was also a challenging exploration about how to function as a church while anticipating that if we are to walk through life together, we’re probably going to hurt each other on occasion. So how do we continue in community with grace and humility in light of our capacity to wound.
I’m excited to have a link to the church’s website here in the Rabbit Room. It’s what I do primarily for a living– and it is to my deep joy and satisfaction– so I’m excited to introduce this community of folks to that part of my world.

Russ,
“Life Together” as in the Bonhoeffer book? I love that one. I’m sure that was a very meaty topic to tackle. I took a small group through the material a while back and we found it quite challenging.

Thank you for this update. The 10 sermons posted last spring were very meaningful to me and I have been anxious to hear the rest of the series. Blessings on your minstry!

Thank you for sharing. The Easter series were challenging and made me thankful for and long for a intimate relationship with God.
