Southern Festival of Books
by Pete Peterson on October 14, 2011 If you’re the bookish sort (isn’t everyone?) and you’re in the Nashville area, come downtown this weekend for the annual Southern Festival of Books. I can’t promise you’ll have the time of your life (that happens at Hutchmoot–and Disneyworld apparently), but I can promise that Jonathan Rogers, Jennifer Trafton, and I will be leading a panel discussion called Worlds of Wonder: Nurturing the Creative Instinct on Sunday afternoon at 2:30. There are a host of other panels and talks going on all weekend, and there will be a ton of books to pick over. If nothing else, it’s a good reason to walk around the Tennessee legislative offices and pretend you’re a congressman for a day.

BUT my sister, my friend, and I are all eagerly awaiting October 22nd so we can FINALLY see AP in concert (and SCC and Josh Wilson are bonuses!). My mom just wants you to know that we’re making her drive all the way to Littleton just for AP.

I had the pleasure of attending the Sunday afternoon “Worlds of Wonder” panel discussion. Good discussion about writing and creativity, making me rue my absence at Hutchmoot all the more.
