Rabbit Room Store 3.0
The Rabbit Room store was beginning to show its age so we’ve torn it down and rebuilt it–better, faster, stronger. It’s shiny and new and smells like books and CDs. Go on in and poke around a bit. There are quite a few new-fangled features so if you see anything that doesn’t look quite right, you might want to make sure your web browser is up to date. We expect some of you will find a bug or two that’s escaped our notice, and we’d be grateful if you’d shoot us an email or post a comment to let us know so we can aim the Raid can at it. Things might be a bit bumpy while we work out the kinks over the next few days so please bear with us.
And one other announcement: The Cymbal Crashing Clouds (book) and Behold the Lamb of God: An Advent Narrative just arrived from the printer and they’ll be on their way to your doorsteps just as soon as we can get them in the mail. Check out both books in the store for a free sample chapter.

I spy a search tab on the main website! Is this new, too? Yay!

The new store looks great! I noticed a couple of bugs. You’re probably working on these, but I thought I’d mention them just in case:
- When you’re in the store, the tabs up top (Home/Archives/Podcast) are prefixed by the store URL, and all point back to the store.
- When you click an author name, under the book or CD item, a page comes up with the author’s name and nothing else.
Thanks for all you guys do on here. I love this community, and am blessed to be part of it.

Pete,
The store looks great, but I have two questions:
1. My account shows no order history or downloadable items, though I’ve purchased several products (including downloads) before.
2. Is there a way to change the account password? I couldn’t remember it and can get a new one, but it is gibberish. I have to either get a new password emailed to me each time, or search for the most recent email that has the password in it.
Thanks for your help.

Chinwe: What browser are you using? Is it up to date? Don’t use Internet Explorer unless someone is forcing you to.
Ken: Looking into those issues. Thanks for the heads up.

“Don’t use Internet Explorer unless someone is forcing you to.”
That made me laugh out loud
Hilarious. I agree.
However, I’m using Firefox 8.0. I just checked it on the latest Chrome and I’m seeing the same thing there as well.

Can you email me a screenshot?

Sure. I sent them to info@rabbitroom.com. Let me know if that’s not right.

I really like the new Rabbit Room Press display!
Nice new look on whole thing too.

I just tried the “Subscribe to the Feed” link at the top of the page and there’s a glitch. The page that pops up is full of computer program-looking mumbo jumbo. Other than that, and the problems already mentioned, it’s looking great. I’m loving this community!

My question is why isn’t Mr. A.S. (yes, you, Pete) Peterson listed in the column of artists? I am doing my best to introduce many to Fin Button and her lovely story, but you are harder to find than the other talent on The Rabbit Room. I think a fix for that is a must!
Oh and everyone who has read her tale (myself included) is wondering when we can expect more books from you…no pressure

I thought I preordered a copy of the new advent devotional Behold the Lamb but I can’t find a order history on my account. How can I make sure it’s ordered?
Thanks!

Sherry,
Unfortunately the new store account page will not be able to reflect order history from the old store (although it will reflect previous downloads purchased.)
You should have gotten an order confirmation email when you placed your pre-order.

It looks so nice, Pete. I think you’re a closet computer genius. Yep, I do.

I’m afraid I can’t take any credit, Paula. That goes to our friend Jonathan Forsythe at Makeshift Creative.

The store seems to be running really, really slow sometimes and we are working on that issue. A few people using Internet Explorer (bad!) also seem to be having some trouble with their carts. We’re working on that one too. Thanks for your patience.
