Because Two Albums are Better Than One
Hello, friends. I released my latest album, In This Hour, back in November, and I’m excited to announce a new limited-time offer (“limited-time” sounds fancier than “we don’t know when this is going to end but it won’t last forever”). Here’s the deal: If you buy a CD or download of In This Hour you’ll also get a free download of my last record, The Good Things. I am very proud of these projects, both produced by Cason Cooley, and would love to see them reach some new ears. If you can help out by spreading the word to your friends I would be incredibly grateful.
Here’s the third track from the record, a song called “That’s Not Who You Are.” Click here to listen to clips from all the rest of the songs. If you don’t like it that’s fine, just don’t post it here or I will cry, or maybe start a Sinead O’Connor-like rant that leaves everyone feeling confused and worried. Thanks for your support, and thanks for helping me get the word out!

What about those of us who already bought (and love!) In this Hour but don’t yet have a copy of the Good Things? No freebies for us?

Come on Ben! Support the music you love! You know it’s not free to create this stuff (especially of this quality).

Allow me to note that the “JP” commenting above is not Jill Phillips

@Ben: We downhomies and graybirds (fans of downhere and Mister Jason Gray), we always give the already-owned album as a gift to a friend or family member – especially one who is un-introduced to the artist’s music, or is sailing through a storm for which that album serves as a particularly effective umbrella (or lighthouse).
I, on the other hand, own neither of these albums, and am supremely excited to get them at such a fabulously fancy-sounding “limited time offer.” I love Jill and her music. Her “Nobody’s Got it all Together” has been my umbrella and lighthouse many, many times. =)

Hey Mr. Shive
I just found out that your favorite guy (Brian Wilson) is back with the Beach Boys and they have a new album dropping June 5th. Also a new single, “That’s why God made the radio.”
I know you’re excited!
Have you heard the song? If so, what do you think?

Two albums ARE better than one, and I love both of these. Thanks, Jill!

Jill and Andy,
I already have all your CDs. BUT I did support your music this weekend at the Cup in Green Bay. Thanks for your music and honesty. My buddy and I had a great time, without technology lol.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Thank you for sharing this music with friends and/or listening to it for the first time. And for the guy wanted to talk to Ben Shive, I’ll be sure to tell him to look for you here:)

Wow, what a great deal! I am excited to dive into these albums, I had the self-titled CD and Nobody’s Got It All Together, but had not yet made the plunge on these two yet. The timing couldn’t be better. Yet another reason the Rabbit Room rocks!

@Jaclyn. A very good idea, and one I’ve practiced. But since my budget doesn’t allow for that now, I’ll just have to wait ’til it shows up on Noisetrade or something.

Ben – I totally understand. That stinkin’ budget is what makes me grateful that this deal is “limited-time,” and not just “one-time only”… or else I’d have to miss jumping on it.

Yeah, I splurged most of my $20 of birthday money on Andy O’s Leonard pre-release (which I do not regret at all!); so I’ll just have to take to heart the message of “In this Hour”‘s title track and be more than content with one CD.
It’s good to be understood

Purchased the download of In This Hour back in January, and prompted by this offer bought the download of The Good Things yesterday.
Good listening.

Jill, with Mother’s Day coming up, I thought you might like to see the fruit of Andy’s Kickstarter video from “In This Hour”. Once I saw the “Moms Make Good Records Too!” video it got me thinking why I like so much material written by Moms. That was around the same time I met Caroline Cobb Smith at Art House Dallas.

Your material has meant a lot to me personally. Really love “Children” from “The Good Things”…It’s nice to know that we are loved by a Father that loves like a Mother…

I heard you for the first time at the Behold The Lamb concert in Orlando a few weeks ago. Your solo really ministered to me. I purchased the download version of In This Hour, along with the free album, The Good Things. Is there any way to get the lyrics that go with the albums?
Thanks for creating great music with depth,
Deb
