Here’s the first of our podcasts featuring sessions recorded at Hutchmoot 2012. In this episode Jason Gray, Eric Peters, and Andrew Osenga discuss ways in which music and creativity can be a powerful means of spiritual and emotional recovery.

Thank you so much for this. After years, but especially the past few months deep in the darkness of depression, I needed to hear a voice of encouragement from someone who hasn’t necessarily found all the answers, but has walked (and is still walking) through the waters. Thank you especially to Jason Gray and his album, A Way to See in the Dark. It continues to be a soothing balm for my aching heart. Real tears have found their way to the surface today. God is still using you to help others. Thank you.

One of the best sessions at Hutchmoot this year.

Only the three most recent Rabbit Room podcasts show up in iTunes… Can somebody help me out here?

Looking into this. iTunes has recently revamped the way they handle podcasts and there seem to be a lot of bugs they have yet to overcome. Trying to get things sorted out.

Thank you for this. For just a little while, I closed my eyes and pretended I was at Hutchmoot. Then I’d laugh out loud at Eric, Jason or Andy, open my eyes and have my teenage son giving me strange looks. Hope to hear more soon from Hutchmoot

“Writing. Every topic is fodder, subject matter…thought on, communicated, explained…We have to be willing to go into those dark places; root out who I am.”
The search for identity is the adventure of existence. Who we are. Who we follow. I’ve been thinking on that recently. Listening in on this chat just confirms the fundamental interconnectedness of all things.
Artists are the most dynamic adventurers because they invite others to witness their search.

Thank you Jason Gray for talking about – and then playing – “Without Running Away.” I will always be grateful because yes, it is most definitely a “me too” song. Thank you so much.

Pete, I just wanted to say thanks for working hard to get this podcast up and available. This was a session I missed and I appreciated the vulnerability of Jason, Eric, and Andrew-a characteristic that was consistent throughout Hutchmoot.
I’ll tell ya’, listening to them each tell their stories and stumble around a bit doing it, the stumbling didn’t take away from their stories at all, in fact it made them more accessible.
When I listened to it a few weeks ago, it was at a time that I was thinking through a difficult story I was about to share at a memorial. I was very nervous about speaking, and about getting it just right, and listening to these guys was one way that God reminded me not worry so much about getting the whole thing nice and tidy, instead to simply answer the call to tell the story and let God take care of the rest. It was His story, after all. And sometimes (okay, most of the time) His stories are the opposite of nice and tidy.
Now. More sessions! More!
