Eric Peters, Live @ The Rutledge
Eric Peters’s Birds of Relocation has consistently been named one of the top ten albums of 2012 (and for good reason). Somewhere along the way, Eric must have realized that such a great record demanded a great release show—and better late than never. Then he thought, “Wait a minute. Chrome was a great record, too. It also needs a great release show.” The careful observer might have pointed out that Chrome is over two years old, to which Eric would have replied, “Osenga can do space travel, so I can do time travel!”
Come out to the Rutledge in Nashville tonight to celebrate the release of both this year’s Birds of Relocation and (via time travel) 2009′s Chrome. It’ll be a full band show featuring Stacy Lantz and Andy Osenga. Tickets are $5 at the door. The time travel starts at 7:30 (or does it?). We’ll see you there.

Darn you, Nashville, for being so far away. We tried to plan ahead to come to this, but failed at procuring babysitters and time off for travel. The next best thing would be…a teleporter. If EP can do time travel, surely we can alter the space-time continuum just a bit more.
Nashville Rabbits, please pack the house for this!
Eric, know that we are there in spirit! See you in early February!

I had the opportunity to lead worship at our church this past Sunday. Being the first Sunday of the year, I worked in a short reading of some lines from “The Old Year (of Denial)”. Our full-time worship leader had doubts it would connect with the audience, but we received overwhelmingly positive comments.
Further proof that Birds of Relocation = genius songwriting.
Eric, it was great seeing you and Andy Osenga about a month ago in Lincoln, IL. Good luck tonight!

I with Zack. Birds… is my album of the year. It especially fit the season of life I family has just gone through. Any chance the show can be filmed or at least clips? I would love to see this show.

I am so thankful for the blessing of being at this show last night. Would love to see these guys do a tour together. If anyone wants to talk about bringing them to your town, please let me know. It’s such fun to hear these songs played with the exuberance and energy of a full band. Praying the Anne Lamott “thank you, thank you, thank you” prayer today that I got to see it.

Thanks, guys. Was mega fun to play these songs live w a band. My ornithological watch stopped working it was so much fun. (No idea what that means)
Tony et al, It is my understanding that LauraP videoed a healthy portion of the show. Hoping to post that/those/it somewhere soon.
Rob, thank you for sharing my songs with your people.
