Hey! Where You At?

NORTH AMERICAN UPDATE: At close to 250 responses already, I’m wondering where the good people of Alaska, Connecticut, Deleware, Hawaii, Maryland, Montana, Neveda, both Dakotas Rhode Island, Utah and Wyoming are.
And Canada, I know where you are, but… where are you? Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario have thrown out a wave, but what about the other 9 Provinces?

So I’m curious. Where do all you regular Rabbit Room readers live? If you read this blog on what you would deem at least a semi- regular basis, would you be so kind as to post a reply with just your loaction– city, state/province, country? I know many of you don’t usually post comments, but maybe just this once? Creating a login is easy, and you don’t have to give us any personal info.
I’ll start. Olathe, Kansas, USA
A.S. Peterson has crafted a work of compelling historical fiction which begs the question, “Can this really be a debut novel?” With dogged fidelity, Peterson captures the spirit, manners, and social conditions present during the American Revolutionary War. We meet colorful, credible characters who navigate the high seas of life and love, dependence and independence, war and peace, truth and consequence, and despite forays into dark places, The Fiddler’s Gun is beautiful, lyrical, and redemptive.

This past February, we moved from a suburb of 132,000 people (Elk Grove) to a full town of just under 5,000 residents halfway between the Sacramento Valley and South Lake Tahoe, California. It’s beautiful; absolutely beautiful! How I could have believed I would only feel at home near that phenomenal bit of gorgeous salt water just to the west, I’ve no idea….
This will be our first winterful of snow, even though in February and March we experienced half a handful of spring time snow sighs. We’re ready, though, because we mastered the fine art of building and feeding a fire in the fireplace insert: the sole source of heat in this little, old house.
All of Heaven’s best to all of you, wherever you may be!

Jake Willems: Check out Russ’ church — Oak Hills PCA (http://www.oakhillspca.com/) — it’s in Overland Park. I’m completely and totally biased, but it’s the best church community in the area. Well, it appears there are several of us here in Greenville, SC. BUT I first heard AP when I was at college in Dayton, TN where I used to watch his kids during concerts he and his wife (and a guy named Gabe, maybe) gave for the student body. I’d also like to add my name to the WV gang, since I’m from there but don’t currently claim residence there.

I’m here, really. Abingdon, MD, to be exact (though I’m at work now, in Middle River, and I think our server is routed through Colorado or something). I didn’t write earlier because I don’t know if I’m a “regular”. Sometimes I check every day, but sometimes not so much. And I’m an engineer, not an artist, so am I even allowed on here? Curt, you still exist! Haven’t seen your name here for a while. I’m making plans for BTLoG in Lincoln next month, are you going?
Hi, Becky. Thanks for asking. My role in The Rabbit Room in recent weeks has been as a reader (which I enjoy as much as writing). A combination of writer’s block and a brutal travel and personal schedule have blocked me from contributing as much as I would like. I hope that is beginning to change. I do have a review of Pete Peterson’s “The Fiddler’s Gun” in the queue. I suspect it will see daylight in the next few weeks sometime. We are planning on seeing BTLOG in Lincoln next month, Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise. Maybe we will see you there.
