Video: John Tibbs, “Won’t Let Me Go”

If you’re a fan of worship music, heartland rock and roll and/or Ben Shive, then we’ve got a nice surprise for you. John Tibbs is a popular singer-songwriter and worship leader who has toured with Audrey Assad, Matt Maher, Crowder, and more. Tibbs has partnered with Shive to produce his latest EP, Heartland, a collection of compelling roots rock songs filled with hope and encouragement.

Today we’re thrilled to feature an exclusive performance video of “Won’t Let Me Go”, the lead single from Heartland. He also told us a bit about the song’s origin.

“I sing this song as a reminder to myself to spend less time worrying, and more time dreaming,” said Tibbs. “I sing it in hopes that it may encourage someone else to be bold and pursue that thing that scares them to death. I think fear is only a sign that our dreams are getting close to becoming a reality.”
