If you’re in Nashville this week, check this event out.
In partnership with King’s Meadow Study Center and Parish Presbyterian Church, FCS will host a L’Abri Lecture by Andrew Fellows entitled “Me, My Selfie and I.”
Andrew will explore the vacuum of meaning created by the naturalistic worldview and give a fascinating look at how that worldview manifests itself on a personal and cultural level as well as where we’re heading as a culture if this worldview goes unchecked. His presentation examines this relevant cultural dynamic from a biblical perspective. This topic unveils the backdrop and outworkings of cultural realities in which all of us live, but of which we may be largely unaware. Guests are encouraged to engage with the ideas presented in a time of Q&A and discussion following the lecture.
After more than 20 years serving with L’Abri Fellowship, most recently as Director of English L’Abri in Hampshire, UK, and as the Chair of Trustees of L’Abri International, Mr. Fellows recently transitioned to serving as Director of Christian Heritage, a study center in the heart of Cambridge, UK. Respected for his decades of student work as well as for his insightful lectures, he has travelled extensively throughout Europe to engage with students, artists, and politicians on a wide array of subjects.
The lecture will be held Thursday, Sept. 22 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the FCS First Floor Worship Center, located in downtown Franklin. The event is free but seating is limited. RSVP through Eventbrite. All ages are welcome.
